Round Robin Schedule Generator
A round-robin fixture list by the circle method: every team plays every other once or home and away, with byes for an odd number of teams.
Round-by-round fixtures with home and away, the team with the bye each round, the number of rounds and matches, and each team’s games and home games — from team names or just a count.
Example: Four teams need 3 rounds and 6 matches; five teams need 5 rounds with one bye each; six teams home and away need 10 rounds and 30 matches.
Everyone
plays everyone.
How the circle method pairs teams, what happens with an odd number, how home and away are balanced, and how a double round robin is built.
The circle method
Put the teams in two rows. The first team stays put; each round, everyone else moves one place round the circle, and each team plays the one opposite. After n − 1 rounds every pair has met exactly once, and nobody plays twice in a round.
Odd numbers
With an odd number of teams a “bye” takes the empty seat, and whoever is paired with it rests that round. Five teams need five rounds, each with one team sitting out.
Home and away
The fixed team alternates home and away; every other team is at home when it sits in the first half of the circle. Everyone ends within one home game of an even split. A double round robin repeats the rounds with every fixture reversed, so each pair meets once at each ground.
What the list does not settle
Venues, dates, rest days and television slots are yours to add; names separated by commas are used as written. Inputs stay in your browser; the same anonymous usage counts as the rest of the site apply.
