Dimensional Weight & CBM
Volumetric weight, chargeable weight and cubic metres for a list of packages from their dimensions, scale weight and your carrier’s divisor, in cm/kg or in/lb.
What the carrier will bill each piece and the shipment on — actual or volumetric weight — plus total CBM or cubic feet, with the pieces billed on volume pointed out.
Example: A 60 × 40 × 40 cm carton at 12 kg with a 5,000 divisor weighs 19.2 kg volumetric and is billed on that; two of them plus ten small boxes at 4.5 kg come to 83.4 kg chargeable, 0.282 m³.

Volumetric and chargeable weight
Volumetric (dimensional) weight is length × width × height divided by a divisor — cubic centimetres per kilogram or cubic inches per pound. Carriers bill each piece on the greater of its scale weight and its volumetric weight, so a light, bulky carton is charged as if it weighed what its volume implies. The page applies that rule per piece, multiplies by quantity, and totals the shipment; pieces billed on volume are flagged, because a smaller box changes the bill and a heavier one does not.
The divisor
Every carrier publishes its own divisor per service and region, and revises it, so this page does not assume one: enter the figure from your carrier's rate card or contract. Some contracts also round each piece's chargeable weight up to the next half-kilogram or pound before pricing; the rounding option applies that step per piece when you set it. Whether dimensions are taken outside the packaging or rounded up to whole centimetres is also carrier practice — measure as they do.
CBM and what is not included
Volume is reported in cubic metres (1 m³ = 1,000,000 cm³) or cubic feet (1 ft³ = 1,728 in³) for sea and consolidated freight, which is priced on volume directly. The page does not convert between metric and imperial (enter one system), does not know freight classes or surcharges, and does not price the shipment. Nothing you enter leaves the browser; the same four anonymous usage counts as the rest of the site apply.
