Quote & Estimate Builder
Build a priced quote line by line: quantity, unit price and discount per line, an overall discount and your tax rate, with totals that add up and a CSV export.
A quote whose printed lines add up to the printed total — subtotal, discount, tax at your rate — ready to paste into a document or export as CSV.
Example: 2 × 1250 at 10 % off, 5 × 80, 1 × 300 at 5 % off, then 5 % overall and 11 % tax → subtotal 2,935.00, discount 146.75, tax 306.71, total 3,094.96.
Lines that add up
to the total you print.
The order of discounts and tax, why each line is rounded, and what this page leaves to you.
How the total is built
Each line is quantity × unit price, reduced by its own discount and rounded to two decimals. The subtotal is the sum of those rounded lines. An overall discount is taken as a percentage of the subtotal, tax is applied at the rate you enter to what remains, and the total is the discounted subtotal plus tax. Rounding per line before summing is how invoicing systems work; it guarantees the lines a customer reads add up to the subtotal they read, at the cost of a cent's difference from an unrounded calculation.
Discounts and tax
A line discount and an overall discount stack multiplicatively — 10 % on a line and 5 % overall is 14.5 % off that line, not 15 % — and the page says so when both are in use. Tax is a rate you enter, applied after discounts; the page does not know which rate applies to what, whether an item is exempt, or how a tax authority wants rounding done. Enter 0 for a quote without tax.
What the tool does not do
It does not store quotes, number them, convert currencies or produce a formatted document — the CSV is meant for your own template. Cost and margin belong in the Cost-Plus Pricing Table; this page prices what you have already decided to charge. Nothing you enter leaves the browser; the same four anonymous usage counts as the rest of the site apply.
