Split a mortar volume into cement, lime and sand by your volume ratio (1:1:6, 1:4 …) with a dry-volume factor, waste, bulk densities and bag sizes.

How the volume is split, the dry-volume factor, and why no mortar-type table is embedded.
The split
The wet mortar volume (from the Brick or Block calculator, or measured) is multiplied by your waste allowance and dry-volume factor, then divided by the volume ratio you enter — cement : lime : sand, with lime optional. Masses and bags need the bulk densities and bag sizes you enter.
No type table
Mortar designations (Type M, S, N, O; M4, M6, M12) tie a proportion to a strength class and to where the mortar may be used. Those are specification decisions, and the tables are licensed standards; the page therefore takes the ratio you are told to use and does not choose one.
Caveat
Volume batching varies with sand moisture and bulking; site practice and the specification set the allowance. Nothing leaves the browser; the same four anonymous usage counts as the rest of the site apply.
