Grout & Thinset Quantity

Grout mass and bags from the tile size, joint width and thickness with the density you enter, and thinset from the trowel notch and bed factor with its density.

Joint volume and grout mass with bags rounded up, thinset bed volume, mass and bags, the joint share of the floor, the tile count, and the waste allowance applied.

Example: 20 m² of 600 × 300 × 10 mm tiles with 3 mm joints: joint volume 0.0033 m³ → 5.5 kg of 1 700 kg/m³ grout with 10 % waste = 2 × 5 kg bags; a 10 mm notch bed at half depth needs 176 kg of thinset.
