Billable Hours & Invoice Total
Time entries — duration or start/end, a rate, fixed fees, non-billable work — into invoice lines with per-entry rounding to 6–30 minutes, discount and tax.
Invoice lines with tracked and billed time, subtotal, discount, net, tax and total, the rounding difference against the tracked time, and the effective hourly rate — your rates and rules only.
Example: Design 1:35 rounded up to 1:45 at 80 = 140, a 15-minute call = 20, a fixed fee 100, admin not billed: subtotal 260, tax 10 % = 26, total 286; rounding added 0:10 over the tracked 2:20.
Tracked time,
billed time, total.
How entries become lines, what rounding does, and what stays yours.
Lines
Each time entry has a duration (1:35, 1h35m or 1.58 hours) or a start and end, and a rate — its own or the default. Billed minutes are the tracked minutes rounded per your rule (none, to the nearest increment, or up) and the line is billed hours × rate. A fixed-fee entry bills its amount with no time; a non-billable entry is tracked but billed at zero.
Rounding
Rounding is applied per entry, as most billing tools do, so twelve 7-minute calls rounded up to 15 add more than one 84-minute block would. The page shows both the tracked and the billed totals and the difference between them, so a client can be told exactly what the rounding added.
Totals
Subtotal = Σ lines; discount = a percentage of the subtotal plus a fixed amount (capped at the subtotal); tax = a percentage of the net; total = net + tax. Rates, increments, discount and tax are the figures you entered — no minimum billing, currency conversion or tax jurisdiction is built in, and nothing is stored. Nothing leaves the browser; the same four anonymous usage counts as the rest of the site apply.
SOURCES
- billed minutes = per-entry minutes rounded (none, nearest or up) to the increment; line = hours × rate or a fixed fee; discount (% + amount) then tax % — no minimum-billing or tax rule built in
